Eileen C. Shapiro
Board of Advisors
Eileen brings thirty years of experience in strategy consulting and working with entrepreneurial ventures, first with McKinsey & Company and now with Hillcrest Group in Cambridge MA. For large enterprises (for-profits and not-for-profits), Eileen’s current work focuses on high-level facilitation, to help Boards and senior management teams identify key issues and develop and execute actionable solutions.
Eileen spends a major portion of her time with new ventures and young companies, working on a broad range of issues. She currently serves on the Boards of Tangerine Wellness Inc., (comprehensive health and weight management solutions for corporations and large organizations) and Myomo, Inc., (wearable neuro-robotics for the rehabilitation of stroke and traumatic brain injury victims), and is a prior member of the Board of Tufts Health Plan, a Massachusetts health insurer. Eileen’s advisory board involvements include BrainBank, Inc., (internet-based ideas and innovation management platform); NovaVision, Inc. (noninvasive technology for the restoration of vision in stroke and TBI victims); and Source MDx (molecular diagnostics). Eileen also serves on the President’s Council for the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering.
Eileen is an active inventor with eight issued patents plus a number of pending patents, all in internet-enabled business areas. She is the author of several books, including Fad Surfing in the Boardroom. She received her AB from Brown University, and her MBA from Harvard Business School.
